St. Joseph's Catholic Church (c.1903) is considered one of the finest churches in the South with spires jutting 200 feet into the air and over 60 stained glass windows. The church is located west of 1st Street near Washington Park. The church offers a variety of religious education programs for children, youths, and adults.
